Paintball markers these days are equipped with modern HP systems. Compressed air is what makes it possible to fire the paintballs in the first place. Other propulsion methods would cause the fragile paintballs to burst right in the barrel. With the HP systems from our store, you’ll be perfectly equipped for your next paintball match. With tanks available in various sizes, you’ll find a wide selection for a variety of paintball brands, such as “Dye” or “Tippmann” markers. Our product range includes HP tanks in different shapes and with capacities ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 liters.
High-Pressure Systems and Accessories for Paintball Markers
Depending on your marker, you’ll need different HP systems. That’s why you’ll find both 12g CO2 capsules and large two-liter HP tanks here. If you’re unsure about your purchase, feel free to contact us for advice by phone, email, through our online store, or in person at our Berlin location. Together, we’ll find the right HP system for your paintball marker.
HP Systems for Paintball Markers – Performance, Precision, and Reliability
An HP system (High Pressure System) is the heart of a modern paintball marker. It ensures the stable air supply needed to fire every shot consistently and precisely. Unlike CO₂ systems, compressed air operates more cleanly, consistently, and reliably—regardless of outside temperatures. Anyone who plays paintball regularly knows: A high-quality HP system is crucial for performance, shot accuracy, and handling on the field.
200 bar or 300 bar—the right operating pressure for your game
HP systems for paintball are generally designed for two pressure levels: 200 bar and 300 bar.
A 200-bar tank is the classic choice for recreational and casual players. These systems are slightly more affordable, can be easily filled at almost any filling station, and provide enough air for several magazines, depending on the marker and playing style.
300-bar systems, on the other hand, are the higher-performance option and ideal for ambitious players or tournament play. Thanks to the higher filling pressure, significantly more air can be stored in the same tank volume—which means more shots per fill. 300-bar tanks are usually slightly more expensive, but their higher efficiency offers better value for money in the long run.
Materials and Weight—Aluminum, Steel, or Carbon
When choosing the right HP tank, not only the volume but also the material plays an important role.
- Aluminum tanks are sturdy, affordable, and ideal for beginners. However, they are somewhat heavier and usually have a lower capacity.
- Steel tanks offer high stability but are the heaviest option. They are rarely used today, as modern alternatives are lighter and more comfortable.
- Carbon fiber tanks (composite) represent the premium segment among HP systems. They combine low weight with high pressure resistance—perfect for long game days when every gram counts. Despite the higher purchase price, carbon tanks offer noticeable advantages in terms of balance and ergonomics.
Capacity—from 0.2 to 2.0 liters
Depending on your playing style and marker, the appropriate tank volume can vary significantly.
Compact 0.2–0.8-liter tanks are ideal for lightweight setups or backup markers, while 1.1-liter tanks are the standard in tournament play. Players who need maximum endurance on the field opt for large 1.5- to 2.0-liter tanks, which are particularly popular for scenario or woodland games.
The right capacity therefore depends on how you play:
A lightweight tank ensures agility and quick aiming, while a large tank allows for sustained firing without frequent refills.
Regulators and Accessories—Fine-Tuning Your System
A high-quality regulator ensures that pressure from the tank is delivered to the marker consistently and safely. Many HP systems feature interchangeable regulators to adjust the output pressure for different marker models. There’s also a wide range of accessories, such as protective cases, pressure gauges, fill nipples, and remote hoses, that make your setup even more convenient and durable.
