The hopper—or magazine—is one of the key components of a paintball setup. While a classic hopper feeds paintballs into the marker from the top, MagFed systems use separate magazines that are inserted directly into the marker. Both systems follow the same basic principle: to reliably deliver paintballs that are compatible with the marker. However, the technical implementation differs significantly.
