Pyrotechnics for Blank Guns

Signal Stars, Whistling Cartridges, and Pyro Sets

In ID-Paintball’s pyrotechnics collection for alarm guns, you’ll find a selection of pyrotechnic effect ammunition from manufacturers such as Umarex and Zink. The range includes signal stars, whistle cartridges, rattling effects, crackling cartridges, and various effect sets in 15 mm caliber. Depending on the product, the visual and acoustic effects, the number of pieces included, and the specific design vary.

Whether you’re looking for individual signal stars or an assortment with multiple effects: Compare the product descriptions to review the features and contents of each item. In addition to the desired effect, other key factors include the intended use, compatibility with the alarm gun and the approved firing cup, as well as applicable legal requirements.

Signal Stars and Light Effects

Signal stars are among the best-known products in the field of alarm-shot pyrotechnics. Depending on the model, they produce different colors and light effects. In this category, you’ll find, among other items, Umarex signal stars, Zink signal stars, and other 15-mm-caliber effect cartridges.

The lineup includes, for example, Umarex Hard Rock Star, Sky Diver, Sky Fighter, Color Flash, Supernova, and Twilight Rubin. Zink signal stars such as Angel Eyes, Desert Gold, and SunGrazer are also featured in the product list. The exact effect and the number of effects included vary by item.

When making your selection, be sure to review the manufacturer’s description and the caliber specifications. Not every effect cartridge is suitable for every alarm gun or launch cup.

Whistling Cartridges, Rattling Effects, and Crackling Cartridges

In addition to visual light effects, the collection includes pyrotechnic items with acoustic effects. These include whistling cartridges, rattling effects, and crackling cartridges in various designs.

Examples include the Umarex Pyro whistle cartridges, the Zink 539 “Silberkomet” whistle cartridges, as well as the Umarex Battle Ground Whistle and Battle Ground Ratter. Also listed are the Zink Feuerwerk 550 crackling cartridges with a silver trail and the Umarex Pyro rattle cartridges.

The names provide an initial indication of the type of effect. However, the product information from the respective manufacturer is always authoritative regarding the exact effect, the intended use, and the number of cartridges included.

Pyrotechnics Sets with Multiple Effects

If you’d like to compare different types of effects in a single package, you’ll find several pre-assembled pyrotechnics sets in the collection. These include, among others, the Umarex Twilight Zone (60 pieces), the Umarex Monte Carlo (30 pieces), the Umarex Golden Age (46 shots), as well as the Umarex Hyperspace and Supernova sets, which feature varying numbers of effects.

The Zink Demon Eyes Combo Set is also part of the lineup. The individual sets differ in terms of composition, quantity, and types of effects. Therefore, check the respective product description to find out which items are included in the set.

15 mm Caliber and Compatibility

Many of the listed effect cartridges are labeled as 15 mm caliber. For use with an alarm gun, the effect ammunition, the launch cup, and the firearm must be suitable and approved for the respective combination.

Before purchasing, you should check the manufacturer’s specifications regarding caliber, compatibility, and intended use. A matching diameter alone is not sufficient to determine whether the use is safe or legally permissible. Also, be sure to observe the legal requirements for the purchase, possession, and use of the respective pyrotechnic article.

Safety and Legal Requirements

Pyrotechnic ammunition can cause injuries and property damage if used improperly. Before use, read the product information and safety instructions in their entirety and observe the required safety distances. Use the products exclusively in accordance with their approval and the manufacturer’s instructions.

The legal classification depends on the specific product and its labeling. Therefore, check the respective category and the applicable regulations rather than relying solely on the product name to determine purchase or usage options.
