Paintball Barrels

Want to increase the accuracy of your marker? Try out our special marker barrels and barrel systems. These not only reduce air consumption, but also have a positive effect on accuracy and flight behavior. In the ID Paintball Shop you will find paintball barrels in different lengths for various requirements. Long barrels stabilize the paintballs over a longer distance, which leads to increased accuracy over long distances. Short barrels, on the other hand, provide better cover options and better movement within the cover. Whatever the purpose, you'll find the right marker barrel for you here!

Marker models & suitable marker barrels & barrel sets at a glance

Not every barrel fits every marker model. In the overview you will find suitable barrels and barrel sets for common markers such as the Tippmann 98 or the Tippmann A5. If you have a marker that is not listed and need help choosing the right barrels, please contact us. Our experts will help you find a suitable paintball barrel!

If you are seriously interested in markers, sooner or later you will come across paintball barrels, because they have a significant influence on how consistent a shot pattern is. The world of paintball barrels is larger than many beginners suspect. There are one-piece variants, modular systems with front and back parts, complete sets with matching inserts, and even models that appear simple but reveal a lot of tuning potential in the details. This is exactly where high-quality paintball barrels come in: they deliver reproducible results, clear barrel interiors, and a design that remains reliable even under harsh playing conditions.

One-piece paintball barrels are interesting for players who value a robust, uncomplicated solution. They consist of one piece, no O-rings, no joints, fewer potential weak points. Manufacturers such as Deadlywind, Tippmann, and Smart Parts offer solutions that do not focus on show, but on stable manufacturing tolerances and smooth ball flight. Many players opt for these barrels, especially in woodland areas, because dirt and moisture have less impact on a solid barrel.

Complete sets for paintball barrels work differently: they use interchangeable inserts or back modules so that you can match the bore size exactly to the paint. Freak sets, Hammerhead systems, or the newer modular variants from Carmatech offer a wide range of inner diameters, allowing you to remain flexible when changing paint batches. From a technical point of view, this makes sense: less blow-by, cleaner gas distribution, and thus more consistent flight behavior. This is a clear advantage if you don't just want to shoot, but also value predictability.

The market for barrel backs is now very diverse because markers use different threads. Whether Autococker, Tippmann A5/X7, Tippmann 98, Spyder, or T15 threads: there are suitable backs for every system so that modular paintball barrels can be mounted at all. It's worth taking a closer look here. A poorly manufactured back piece will render even the best front barrel ineffective. A clean fit, no play, defined contact points – that's what matters.

The front pieces are all about the characteristics of the barrel: porting pattern, choice of material, wall thickness, barrel length. A smooth gas release reduces muzzle pressure and thus the turbulence behind the ball. This is where solid front parts differ from purely decorative products. Good front parts for paintball barrels are not over-drilled, not too heavily ventilated, and deliver consistent performance even at higher rates of fire.
