Slider Shorts

Slider Shorts for Paintball and MagFed

Slider shorts are a practical addition to your paintball gear. They’re worn under your paintball pants and, depending on the model, feature padding in specific areas of the body. This padding can enhance comfort during quick movements, when sliding, and upon contact with the ground. At ID-Paintball, you’ll find slider shorts from DYE and Exalt, including the DYE Performance Slide Shorts and the Exalt FreeFlex Paintball Slide Shorts.

Whether you’re regularly on the field, dynamically moving between cover, or spending a lot of time close to the ground during scenario and MagFed games, the right undergarments should fit comfortably and not unnecessarily restrict your range of motion. Slider shorts are designed to effectively complement your paintball gear.

What Are Paintball Slider Shorts?

Paintball slider shorts are padded shorts worn under your actual paintball pants. They differ from ordinary athletic shorts primarily in their construction and the integrated padding areas, which vary by model.

The padding can be particularly helpful in areas where you frequently come into contact with the ground while playing. Depending on the design, these include the hip and thigh areas. Which zones are actually padded and how the padding is designed depends on the specific product. Therefore, compare the manufacturer’s specifications before deciding on a model.

Slider shorts are not a substitute for a full set of protective gear. Rather, they are an additional layer of clothing tailored to the demands of paintball.

DYE Performance Slide Shorts

The DYE Performance Slide Shorts are an option for players who want to add padded undershorts to their paintball gear. When selecting a pair, pay particular attention to the fit, the available sizes, and the padding specifications.

Slider shorts should fit comfortably under your paintball pants and not slip unnecessarily, even during quick movements. Therefore, check the size chart and the manufacturer’s product information to ensure the shorts fit your body type and complement your other gear.

Exalt FreeFlex Paintball Slide Shorts

The Exalt FreeFlex Paintball Slide Shorts add another option to the lineup for paintball players. With this model, too, the specific product details are crucial—such as the construction, fit, and padding areas.

Which shorts are a better fit for you depends on your personal needs and comfort. When comparing different models, pay attention to the available sizes and how the shorts pair with your paintball pants.

What should you look for when buying?

Several factors play a role when choosing paintball slider shorts:

• Fit: The shorts should fit securely without being too tight or slipping when you move.
• Padding areas: Check which body areas the respective model covers.
• Freedom of movement: The undergarments should allow for quick changes of direction, kneeling, and sliding without causing unnecessary discomfort.
• Material and construction: Pay attention to the manufacturer’s specifications regarding material, care, and construction.
• Size: Refer to the manufacturer’s size chart.
• Compatibility with paintball pants: The shorts should be comfortable to wear under your existing clothing.

The right choice also depends on your playing style. Players who frequently slide or quickly brace themselves on the ground may prioritize different features than those who primarily look for lightweight and comfortable undergarments.
